What We Collect

We collect the demographic information you choose to provide on the Demographics page. A small number of fields are required to create useful survey groups. Most fields are optional, including sensitive topics such as financial background, gender, relationship status, and political leaning.

Survey Says does not ask for your name, email address, street address, or other direct contact information as part of demographic questions.

How We Use Information

We use demographic information to organize survey responses into groups for games and comparisons. For example, a game may ask players to predict how people with a shared experience or preference responded to a survey question.

We aim to present group-level patterns, not individual responses. We do not use demographic information to make decisions about users outside of gameplay.

Your Choices

Optional questions may always be skipped. Share only the information you feel comfortable providing.

If the application later saves information in a database, users should be able to review, update, and delete their own demographic information.

Current Classroom Version

The current classroom version of Survey Says temporarily keeps only the most recently submitted demographic record while the application is running. This information is removed when the application restarts and is not yet stored in a database.

Because this is an educational prototype, do not enter highly sensitive or real-world personal information.

Security and Future Improvements

As Survey Says grows, we will minimize the information we collect, protect stored data with appropriate access controls, use secure connections, and limit access to authorized application administrators.

We will not sell demographic information. We will not share individual demographic records with other players.
